Vicarious Liability and Risk Management in Clinical Supervision

This webinar is a focused 3-hour webinar examining a supervisor’s legal and ethical responsibility for the actions and clinical decisions of supervisees. This training addresses how supervisors may be held accountable for client harm related to inadequate oversight, poor delegation, failure to intervene, or noncompliance with laws and professional standards. Participants will explore practical risk-management strategies, including structured supervision practices, clear supervision contracts, ongoing evaluation, and effective documentation. Emphasis is placed on protecting clients, supervisees, and supervisors while supporting ethical practice and professional development.
