Becoming a Clinical Supervisor is a comprehensive, self-paced training program designed for licensed mental health professionals seeking to earn the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential through CCE. This course covers all ten ACS eligibility content areas, including the roles and functions of clinical supervisors, theoretical frameworks and models of supervision, supervisory relationship dynamics, methods and techniques for effective clinical supervision, group supervision, evaluation and remediation practices, gatekeeping responsibilities, technology in supervision, administrative procedures, and legal and ethical standards. Cultural responsiveness is integrated throughout the curriculum.
Participants complete 25 self-paced online content at their own pace, followed by 20 live virtual synchronous session to consolidate learning and demonstrate course completion. (Dates are shared upon registration)
“Becoming a Clinical Supervisor” is approved by the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE). CL’s Counseling and Consulting Firm, LLC is a CCE Registered Credential Training Provider, RCTP# 1009-ACS. This course is approved for 45 hours of ACS training credit. CL’s Counseling and Consulting Firm, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of this training course.
